The Apple logo is one of the most nationally recognized symbols in the world. Apple is a technology company with revolutionary products ranging from tablets and computers to cellphones and all of their needs. Apple gained the most popularity when they first introduced the iPhone. The iPhone was a phone that was different from any other phone in the market. It was sleek, easy to use, and had various features that were considered new on a phone. Although Apple was not the first company to introduce a touch screen phone, they were the ones with the best version of it. Apple would continue to introduce an updated iPhone with new added features every year. To keep the consumers interested in the updated products and aware of any new releases, Apple relies heavily on social media. They are constantly interacting with customers on their social media accounts and posting ads that appear on consumer’s feeds. They use different social media accounts for different purposes.

Facebook

Facebook is one of the social media’s that Apple does not utilize as much as their other social media platforms. Although they have over 11 million followers on the page, the page is not very active with the last post being almost a year ago. Apple uses their Facebook account for announcing important information such as new products with their 108 seconds of big news video. They also show how to get more out of your devices using some of Apple’s features.

Instagram

Apple’s Instagram has the most following out of their social media accounts with 15.7 million followers and is the most active account. The focus of their Instagram is not the company’s products, but rather the photos that can be shot with an iPhone. All customers have to do is post on Instagram and simply hashtag their photo “#ShotoniPhone”. They then have a chance of being reposted on Apple’s main Instagram page. This is great because it allows consumers to see the iPhone’s camera in use, which is a very important part of a phone.

Twitter

Twitter is the social media that apple has the most engagement on and the one that is most active. Apple has a variety of accounts on twitter, one specified for every need. Some of the accounts are Apple, Apple music, Apple TV, App store, and Apple Support. Apple uses Twitter in a variety of ways such as for ads, engaging with customers, and introducing new products.

One of the most valuable features twitter has is the ability for companies to engage with customers. In the above image, Governor Huckabee is tweeting Apple for having a good experience getting an Apple Watch fixed. Many customers can also typically be seen taking their experiences to social media, so it is great that customers thoughts can be easily heard and shared with.

Twitter is also great at seeing what news is circulating around the company’s brand. In this case, we can see that Apple is mentioned in a tweet by Bluetooth stating that the new Find My app is rumored to work even when offline. This was not confirmed by apple themselves yet, so it can become an idea of something to touch on during the launch of the app or something that can be add to the product.

Mobile Apps

Apple does not have a designated app for their products, but they have an iTunes store and App store that can be used to downloaded apps. The iTunes store can be used to download things such as books, movies, and music on your Apple devices. While the App store can be used to download a variety of applications such as Instagram, twitter, and Facebook. Although Apple does not have their own App, they do have a website where they list all of their products and have a variety of helpful links listed.

Apple in other Media

Apple is a company that one can always count on to be talked about in the media. With the upcoming International Day of Yoga, Apple is allowing their Apple Watch users to unlock the yoga achievement on the device if they complete a 15-minute workout (Miller). This is awesome news for anyone who is an Apple and Yoga fan. You can not only count on Apple to be talked about in the media, but for them to also come out with new products. IOS 13 beta 2 was recently released to developers and a review of the features has been released. Some of the mentioned features are: Memoji stickers, and new portrait mode (Benjamin).

Final Note

Apple uses each of their social media platforms in a different way. On their Facebook account, they post the most important information. Some of the things that can be seen on there are new products release announcements and any product news. They show how to get more out of your apple products in a way than an average consumer would not know how to. Apple uses their Instagram page a little differently than their other social media accounts. Rather than posting their own original content, they repost consumer’s pictures who are taken with an iPhone. This is great because they allow for customers to see the cameras in use since the camera is a big part of any new iPhone release. Apple’s twitter is used to engage with the customers and to keep track of the brand’s image in the media. Apple does not have a designed app, they do however have an app store designed for apps that work specifically for their devices. They also have a website that keeps people up-to-date with all of their products and news. Apple is a brand that can be seen blogged about often since they are always coming out with new products. Most of the customers and critics are very big fans.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
